Default D show foh rack ram problem

I own D show profile, last year my foh rack fail to start, with the advice from avid tech, we change the RAM, last months, the console suddenly go to back up mode during show, and last week, it cannot be start again, and avid tech again ask me to change the RAM, and it work now, i wonder why the RAM always give problem? can i change to better RAM? at the moment is KINGSTON 512 MB
