Default Mbox Micro Audio output problems

I have an MBox2 Micro that outputs audio on both Left and Right sides, but it is a sum of only the Right audio. If I pan a signal full Right in Pro Tools the audio gets louder in both ears (about 3dB) and when panned full Left the audio goes away in both ears.

I saved the session and plugged my friends Mbox2 Micro in, reopened the session, and the audio panned to both sides as it should. After saving and returning to my MBox2 Micro, the audio did the same thing. I am using PT 8.0.3 on a Windows 7 machine.

Unless there is a firmware update that I am unaware of it appears I have a bad Mbox, can anyone help me out.

Have you double-checked your plug and connections? Just wondering if you got a mono plug by mistake(from the Mbox output)?

I was running into a pair of Sensaphonics IEMs. The same exact pair of ears were used when I switched to my friends Mbox Micro and it worked flawlessly.

Ouch, sounds like a bad Micro to me Was your friend's Micro hooked up to your computer or his/hers? Have you checked the IO setup?

I would try reseting all the I/O paths in the prefs and relaunching PT. If that doesn't work try deleting the prefs and rebooting.

Yes, my friends Mbox Micro was plugged into my computer, using the exact same session (and it worked correctly with his). All of the I/O routing had been reset to Default while the Mbox Micro was plugged into the computer.

I figured it was a bad Micro, but just wanted to make sure no firmware update had been released for it. Thanks.
