Digi 001 with Intel P45 ?

Hi.

I am trying to install my Digi 001 in a Intel Celeron E3200 ,2gb ,Intel p45 chipset,Nvidia 8400 GS vga card.


Every single time , I was getting Blue Screen of Death.
I did the following

1.installed PT 6.4
2.installed latest pace drivers from pace's site#
3.installed cs9
4.disabled DEP Execution

after disabling DEP Execution ,pro tools starting ,I am making a new project ,made 32 mono audio tracks ,armed 16 and start recoding.
System is able to record for some time ,more than 5-6 minutes at least ,I am getting NO DAE error messages ,[that is PT is giving me NO error messages] but from time to time I am getting a blue screen of Death .

Please note that I have gotten a BSOD when PT was NOT active ,just system was idle ,showing only windows desktop.sandra will be posted asap .

You install the cs6 plug in updater? You need to do that also.

Theres a very good chance its the Celeron processor. You should consider changing that to a Core 2 processor or Pentium Dual Core.

One of the many reasons Celerons are not recommended is that they do not always contain certain instruction sets or architectural features essential to running Pro Tools so depending on the model and vintage of the Celeron it may run poorly or not run at all. Having said that the fact that its crashing at idle suggests a driver or configuration error.

Knowing the terminal stop error it gives when blue screening would help immensely E.G. "BAD POOL CALLER". If you write down the entire hex code (0x0000B3, 0x00000, blah blah blah) and punch it into Google it should link you to a MS knowlage base article on that specific fault.

I know and certainly agree with you that Celeron cpus isnt the best choice for PT.however ,this specific cpu is bought october 2010,so its basically a new , 6 months old model [or maybe a couple more].Its my understanding ,that ,newer celerons are ALMOST identical in terms of specs and instruction set with lower end dual cores.May be a configuration problem ,thats why I ve putted pci card in another slot.


As I'm writing this message [on laptop] ,big counter window is showing me over 15 minutes of recording 8 mono audio tracks.

System appears to be okay .
Motherboard of this is Foxxcon p45a ,socket 775 ,with Intel Celeron E3200 is cpu.
