Default mp3 audio clock issue

Hey guys - using a 15" MBP running 10.6.8 with 8 gig of RAM and a 500 gig SSHD with PT 9.0.3 and every time i bounce to mp3 (regardless of bit rate etc) i have to restart PT as i get the audio clock error message

any clues?

Have you tried using an external HD? Some times recording onto the system drive can give you funny problems.
