Default OT: Looking for app that will change speed with out changing pitch

I'm tryign to learn some guitar parts. I'm looking for an app for Mac that will allow me to change speed with out changing pitch on a tune. Does ProTools allow that?

Try Transcribe!. It is an excellent, and inexpensive, program.

I use it daily for all types of music transcription.

The best tool I've seen for this is any version of IK Multimedia Amplitube. It has a speed trainer which allows you to slow down the song (variable) to half speed without changing the pitch. It works amazingly well with very little artifacts.

It's even included in their Iphone/Ipad versions.

For your desktop, if you don't want to get the full version of Amplitube 3, the cheapest thing would probably be Amplitube Metal ($99). This works in standalone as well, so you don't have to open Protools if you just want to practice.

Also be aware that Amplitube Fender is on sale for $99 (it's normally twice that). This would have it as well.

Elastic audio is free with ProTools. It works great.

This is a cool tool, really quick, the free version is only one song at a time but work right away. But for Windows only.

I know. This should be a no brainer. Why anyone would recommend anything else is beyond me.

^this

Digi's X-Form plug-in is also amazing for this kind of thing, but it really takes a long time to process even small changes, so not so great if you've got a tight deadline to meet.

Oh yeah, I second that! X-Form has AMAZING quality! (but yeah, it takes a little while to process)
