Recording through hardware inserts?
Q: If I place a hardware insert into a track I am recording, will the recorded sound be processed through the outboard as it gets recorded? If not how can I do this so it does. I am trying to avoid having to use a manual patching system with all my synth/sound sources as I record them into protools.

Re: Recording through hardware inserts?
Track insterts are "after tape", so you're processing recorded signal, not recording processed. You have to use aux channel, insert your gear there and then route this to track - no patching necessary
Hope this helps, Przemek.
