Default waveforms not being drawn correctly?

i'm running 7.4 on vista ultimate now. i'm noticing that fairly often, the screen drawings of the waveforms of what i've just recorded do NOT represent what the sounds are. for example, in a vocal track, it will visually appear that i started a vocal and then abruptly cut off, but the track sounds fine. if i zoom in, i can sometimes see the real waveform, but then on zooming back out, it still looks wrong. sometimes the visual peaks aren't where they should be in time either, coming in earlier or later than the sounds, which makes it very difficult to do editing. anyone else seen this or know how to fix it?

This has been reported before.
there is an option in the region list menu
select the regions - recalculate waveform overviews

This happens to me every time I record with a low buffer setting. If I record using Low Latency Monitoring it does not happen. Just select the files and in the region bin right click and choose redraw.
