Default Best External Fire Wire Drive????

What are the best external fire wire drives? I want to connect to a 002r.

Well, considering my last few posts, I'd have to strongly caution you against anything by the Iogear company.

I bought a Seagate 160 Gb instead, and although I've only had it for a day, so far it's fantastic with my 002R. It was a little iffy about being in the Adaptec FireConnect card with the 002R, but when I moved it to the laptop's regular firewire port, there wasn't a single hitch for the rest of the day. I did overdubs on a 24 track session then mixed it and bounced to disk with no problems.

I then recorded an hour of 16-track audio and again, no glitches.

we(www.tempermillstudios.com) use ez-quest cobras and they are rock solid and i go between mac(mix 24)and pc(002 rack)pro tools systems with them with no problems at all. check them out at www.pcmall.com or go to the ez-quest website.
