Unhappy How to register 003 and get bundled plugins?

So: I bought second hand 003 control surface, and the guy who sold it told me that it has never been registered with avid. Unfortunately he did not have registration card and Ilok anymore, but I thought that won`t be problem - I just log in Avid.com and register my new hardware with S/N never used before and I can download licences from there. BUT Computer said NOOO.I can`t find anywhere on the website how to register 003! Can anyone help or advise? I really need those "bundled" plugins!

You're gonna be SOL on the Factory Bundle plug-ins without the iLok.

Whoever has that ilok also owns all of the bundled software.. Avid won't give out two for the price of one.

But there is nobody using that Ilok or any software licensed on it!
Ok I`ve got it - avid doesn`t care. I thought that once i register my 003 with unique S/n that i will be able to download any software related to it, as it is with PT9... btw. I have got PT7.3 installation CD with activation code, but the format is not accepted on authorisation section on avid web... it is 3x8 characters with space between them..?

Don't blame Avid. They didn't sell you a used 003.
If your seller didn't include an iLok with the Factory Bundle on it, then you don't get those particular plug-ins.
You need the iLok, or the licenses that are on it.

Also, the PTLE 7.3 activation code isn't used on the Avid website, it's used the first time you fire up PT.

Be aware that the plugins that were on the Ilok were only a small amount of separately purchased plugins, and you're not really missing much.

Once you get the software running, you will still have all the standard plugins that normally come included with Protools.

Also, if you're having problems registering the unit, you can call Avid and get help with it. Registration/Activation support is free (other than the long distance charges while you're on hold for 20 minutes).

There is also the option of buying Protools 10.
If that's too expsensive, you can still buy Protools 8 from the Avid Store directly for only $149, which isn't too bad.

http://shop.avid.com/store/product.d...88865113879120

Even though it says "upgrade", it's really a full installer, and you don't need to have any previous version of Protools installed.

The reason why I am so much after those plugins is that i would really have a use for Sound Replacer and if i know well it comes with bundle. I am not willing to pay £300 for that single plugin. Guys can you recommend alternative?
I use Pro tools 9 and when time is right will upgrade to 10. And HD . If I don`t get fed up by then with corporation AVID

Thanks again

There are better options now, including Slate Digital Trigger, and Drumagog.

But if you really want Soundreplacer, you can buy the Ilok license very cheaply from someone here on the forums.

Yes indeed. Or on ebay. This is one of the drawbacks to the iLok system. I bought a used 003 with an iLok that has some plugins, and the seller assured me he would email me the iLok account info, but of course, he never did. ILok charges $100 to transfer the assets, but they will not tell me what they are, so I'm not risking another 100 bucks. One more iLok in the trash
