Default Genelec 8040 --- WOOOOWWWWWW!!!

Just got a pair of Genelec 8040's. Simply F******G AMAZING!!!!
I remixed a couple of songs, man my earlier mix sounds lame on those, ALTHOUGH I HAD MIXED ON MUCH BIGGER JBL 4350'S. The Genelecs are so accurate, so much bottom for a relatively small speaker. I mean, I played a song with a big mute then bass plus drums heavy intro, and I almost fell off my chair. I haven't compared them to their predecessor, the 1030's, but I'm set for life, I mean, what else could one want. WOWWW!

Some like the new age "Space" fururistic look. Some think it makes them look less like a good ol' "Tank" of a speaker that can not be destroyed... ya know ??

For me,, it's like a either way type of thing. I already have had the 1031's for years now along with their "married" sub..

I like the way mine look. And thought the new ones looked kinda weird.. But just like anything in human nature, I'm sure I would get used to it,, then 5 years of working with them, I would look at my old ones and say,,, "what the hell are them prehistoric looking things?" (he he) ...

Kinda just like the new 20, and 100 dollar bills. I HATED them at first, I was like, what tha F%CK is this monopoly looking money crap !!!?? But NOW , I look at the new ones compared to the old ones, and I'm like, " I can't believe we even used the old looking bills as money, they look so lame now!!", No holograms?, no new age look? - I like the new bills now....

But j20056 , congrats on the new pair. I am a Genelec fan ALL THE WAY, and I have been waiting for some reviews on the new lines...

GREAT NEWS !!! Thanks,
