Break up session in reels
Hello guys,
my "super session" for dialogue editing is currently slow though CPU Native System Usage is at 10%. System Monitor in OSX wont show any signifcant overload, so I'm guessing why my system is slow. Anyway, I'd like to break up this "super session" into reels. My question is: Do I have to copy all media data to a new session in order to gain system speed or do I just need to clean up the original session. Thanks alot! Best, Horst |

Re: Break up session in reels
I don't see a reason to re-save new media (unless you want to do it for housekeeping); if you just strip the session down to reels and remove all unused regions (after flushing the undo queue), you should be equivalent to a fresh session as far as performance goes.
best, rich
