Default Dell Inspiron 6000 Why

Dell Inspiron is OK for M box but why is it NOT recommended for 002R. Does anyone use the 6000 with 002R.

Thanks Nick

Hi Aussie

Yeh the deals on the Dell Insp 6000 is not bad, but looks like I maybe looking at an Ibook.
The great thing about a Mac ...plugin and go. The PC laptop recommended by Digi is alot more $$$$ than the Ibook.

I actually have one ordered. Expecting it to turn up tomorrow or Wednesday.
The compatibility docs don't say that it WON'T work with the 002, It's just not on the recommended list.
Anyway, I have an Mbox and a Mackie Onyx 1640 with the firewire option, so I'll track with the Mackie to Tracktion, and then import the tracks to PTLE for editing. So it's not a huge drama to me.

So, have you got the Inspiron 6000 up and running on the 002 yet? Wondering how it went, thinking of getting the 6000 myself ... looks good on paper...

Thanks! Vaughn.
