Re: How do you "do drums" ?
I use a combination of midi and recording.
First, I will record the drums, re-recording over bits that get messed up badly until I can make a good take out of them. Second, I use tab to transient and identify beat on the kick and the snares so that the grid lines up PERFECTLY with these hits. Only do the quarter notes as to keep the feel and swing, then use elastic audio on anything that is blatantly out. Third, because I have used identify beat to put the grid markers on the hits (not the hits on the grid markers, that is important) I then know that I can then use my battery 3 midi drums and underlay things like the kick and the snare to beef them up and sound better. Without anybody ever knowing |

Re: How do you "do drums" ?
Well i think in this case i had all 3....probably not the best of each. But all the elements were good :) Just needing some minor editing it would seem.

Currently 125.00 plus the 25.00 iLok transfer fee for the expansion asset.
Or...the whole MPTK 2 via USA shipping or emailed activation code for 289.00. Trust eJay with all your iLok asset needs ---a true hObo

Re: How do you "do drums" ?
I actually just finished up some drums for a track I was working on. I live in a condo so recording a live kit is out of the question. I use Addictive Drums because I found it the easiest to work with and the best sounding out of the box (SD 2.0 is great but requires more tweaking to sound good).
After mixing all the drums, you couldn't tell the difference between the fake drums and a real kit. |
