Mackie D8B - AES/EBU Digital I/O
System: Ptools 4 with (3) 888 I/O and Mackie d8B.
I want to use the Mackie D8B as a front end mixer for PTools and use protools for effects/processing, etc. I am wondering if anyone ever has any clock problems with running out of protools 888's AES connectors into the PIO-8 Aes inputs of the mackie (8 channels). Does anyone have the sync card for the mackie to receive word clock from PTools? Or is the word clock enough that runs in AES??? Also - any quality issues that anyone knows of when it comes to AES clock. Thanks. |

Re: Mackie D8B - AES/EBU Digital I/O
I'm running a PT24 system with a D8B. I don't use a sync card... I just let the d8b be the master digital clock in my studio. Luckly I don't have to sync with any video. All the video post I do is to quicktime movies. We do audio for PlayStation games.
Anyway... I just set PT to external digital AES sync... nothing to it. |
