Default Help error 4 then 9003 upon launch

I bought an accel card that isn't working in my set up. Are there any other tests except digitest to verify that the card is in deed faulty?
I don't want to ship it back unless Im sure it's broken.
WIth the accel card installed I get error 4 then 9003 when loading Pro tools. Digi test won't even start with the accel. I tried swapping the core card with the accel. same error. I uninstalled accel card and digi test works fine with core card.
ANy help is greatly appreciated

Follows is my sandra report.

1) What version of PT are you running? 2) Use 4 GB of matched ram. 3) Have a Digi approved tech check out your card.

Thanks for the reply.
The system used to work with the process card so I don't think it's a ram issue.
Also I ran "memory test" and the ram tested ok.
I'm using Protools hd 8.
Again with the process card it worked fine. With just the core card installed it passes digitest.
I don;t want to spend the shipping and bench time to get a digi tech to test it.
I will try one more time to insure the flex cable is installed correctly.
Thanks for your time

an update. I switched the flex cable opposite to the manual. Port A of the core card connected to port B of the accel. COre card is in possition 1 and accel is in 2.
The accel card actually went through the digitest but faild. The core card passed.
Does this seem like a broken card? It would be great if someone could verify this
Thanks

From the Avid site:

Pro Tools HD 8.1 and 8.1.1 System Requirements
Windows Systems
  • Computer: Avid-qualified Windows-based computer (see details)
  • System Software: Windows XP Professional (32-bit)
  • Total System RAM: 2GB minimum, 4GB or more recommended

No one can verify that you have a broken card over the internet. Either return it or have it checked out by a certified technician.

Good luck with your problem,

Greg
