I would be sooooooooooo stoked to try this in Pro Tools !!!!!!!!!

I have a recording console with integrated motorized/touch sensitive controls, but being able to two hand controls on plugins in the air would be killer.....

And being able to ditch the keyboard and mouse from on top of the recording console??? AWESOME ! ! !

Making hands on edits to audio in the time line!?
Drawing my fades in the air as apposed to riding faders? Could be an awesome thing!!!!! But may also be awkward as all get out....

But I see some very useful purposes this can serve....
Not just with PT either... photoshop, etc... cheaper than a Wacom, and res looks good.

The thing about doing extensive work with air controllers and touch screens is that they don't work out ergonomically in the end. I bet you after an hour of waving your hands around editing, your arms will be super tired.

I can see this being practical for some applications, but anything involving hours of edits will probably ruin your shoulders, and you'll be back to a mouse and keyboard. There's a reason why nothing has come along to replace them in 30 years.

I could see this being very cool for the 3d modeling crowd. I'd have to try it to really form an opinion on it's value for audio/music.... But I guess when they come out they're only $70.

Win8 will have extensive touch screen abilities, so it will be interesting to see where Avid go with their implementation.
