Why is there no CC #32?
does anyone know the reason for this? just curious...
It's not in pro tools and not in Ableton Live either... according to this page http://www.midi.org/techspecs/midimessages.php (Table 3) it should be there... "LSB for Control 0 (Bank Select)" i just had to do an hour of reprogramming after i just found out there was no channel 32, and i had accounted for it in the setup...

Re: Why is there no CC #32?
My studio rig is packed up ready for a move across the country so I can't double check right now, but where are you looking and not seeing a cc#32?
Looking at my Pro Tools patch files in Cherry Picker, I can view banks for, say, my E-mu Proteus 2000, which are set up like this: cc#00 = defines which expansion ROM (one of up to 4, plus the user banks) cc#32 = defines which bank from that particular ROM. If I recall correctly in Pro Tools, the cc#00 and cc#32 fields can be viewed in the patch select window. And if you're wanting to switch patches mid-way through a track, choose the 'program change' view for that particular MIDI track, click in the track where the change should happen, and insert the bank/patch details in there. Hope that helps. I can only think you might be looking in the controller list (where one can tweak, say, volume, filter, resonance etc.)?
