OMF import issue
Desperately need to get mixing some stuff but when I try importing the OMFs the progress bar just hangs on 'Reading Media Databases'. I am in deep doo doo if I can't get this issue solved. I'm running LE 7.4.5 on XP.

Re: OMF import issue
A few questions first to try to isolate the problem
Does this happen with all OMFs? or just one Are these embeded audio OMFs or sperated session OMF and media files? Is it from Avid or other DAW? I have been using embeded OMF 2 for a long time and I reccomend to do the same. Many errors occur when trying to relink to media when its not embeded. Every now and then I still get an OMF file that has issues (due to some type of media corruption). The only resolution when this happens is to re-export the OMF form the Avid. When exporting from Avid it is good practice to check the box for 'convert bit rate' and 'convert sample rate' so that all the files have the same rates. Also check 'convert to' same type (wave, aiff ...)
