Older DigiDesign Plugins in 7.4.2?

I'm sure this has been discussed already, but I couldn't find in with a search, so here goes...

I recently upgraded my system from OS 10.4.11 to OS 10.5.4. At the same time, I obviously had to upgrade from PT 7.1.1 to 7.4.2.

The problem is this. The OLDER version of ProTools had Version II of most of the included plugins, and I used them a LOT. The New version of ProTools has version 3 of the digidesign plugins. So now when I open a session that I had in progress, NONE of the plugins are available! I've just LOST all of my EQ and Compression settings. Since the plugins aren't even AVAILABLE now, I can't even look at the settings and copy them to the new plugins.

Is there ANY way to reinstall just the old plugins? Will they even WORK with the new ProTools? If so, how do I go about it? If not, any suggestions for retrieving all of my settings for EQ and such?

Go to the Plug-Ins (Unused) folder and drag the v2 versions back into the regular Plug-Ins folder.

If possible you should start transitioning into using the v3 plug-ins going forward. They work and sound lot better, and eventually the v2 ones aren't going to work with PT anymore.
