Why does Protools keep freezing when its loading up all my plug-ins
So i just bought a macbook pro OS X 10.5.7
and when I try and install Protools on it a few different errors pop up saying I cant intsall this and that (which seem to be very minor). And then when everything is done I try and open up Protools and it will start loading everything but then freeze either on ReWire plug-in, Reverb plug-in, or my Chorus Plug-in. I have taken these plug-ins out and it will start up just fine, but i need them! Does anyone have any idea what I need to do?

The first and one of the most important thing is to check that your plugins are compatible with pt8, or not. If not, update them to a compatible version, if a compatible version not exist yet, you have to remove that plugin, simply moving it to unused plugin folder, or uninstall it.

PPC or Intel?
USB or Firewire? any recent changes to your rig?

Yea its a big change but why should that matter when im installing it?
I used a pc before, with a m-audio axiom 49 keyboard controller, but its not connected to my mac when i try and start it up or anything

Protools 7.4 is not compatible with Mac OS 10.5.7. You need to upgrade (free) to Protools 7.4.2 or to Protools 8.0 ($149.95)
