Chill out dude.....the Control|24 looks like a totally different beast to the ProControl.

More like a big HUI and one that works properly too.

A great idea i must say, howabout digi make us a Faderpack full of pre's that we can hang to the side of the ProControl?

That and the "Big Fat DSP Pack" would be great!

My god, why are you so paranoid about something new being released, if you're that paranoid you should never have bought the bloody thing in the first place.

It still works doesn't it, just how it did when you bought it?...i think so.

control24 looks sweet! I'm curioius if the preamps are the quality of the red range or the quality of the platinum range, that would make the difference on me purchasing one or keeping my hui and outboard preamps.

3james,

There are some threads going on in other sections on the DUC discussing this very issue. Most point in the platinum direction and some state Red. Honestly, my guess would be platinum, 16 Reds for the $$$ seems just too good to be true, .....

Looked / played with the new toy at the NAMM.
Its a very good controller for "limited" applications (eventough it does a lot).
Problems:
You can't expand it - buy it and that's it.
It has faders which I am told are the same make as those on the Mackie D8B. Having used those, they are definately not accurate and require constand calibration.
The pre's - why pay for pre's you might not want to use? Personally, I'd never use any of the F' ones.
Saying that, its a good tool at a good price, abeit for slightly limited applications.
And yes - I really do think digi should drop the price of PC a "bit", especially the new edit pack is seriously overpriced. If they don't, a lot of people will opt for the new desk - which will cost them a lot of money - so they better drop it (he says, just about to invest in another PC system).
My 1 1/2 penny worth
