Does anyone have any info & instructions on the ability to record 16 - 24 tracks of audio at a time with the 001?

the easiest way to do 16 tracks at a time with the 001 is to get an ADAT optical interface like the Alesis A13 and use it in concert with the 001's 8 inputs.
I don't think 24 would be possible with any configuration.

Hello subneuro, The max number of tracks you can record is 18. Thats 8x analouge, 2x spdif, and 8x via adat.

So something like the Alesis AI3 would be suitable, if you wanted a better converter the RME unit(cant remember the name)is supposed to be good.. If you wanted to use the spdif IO go for the Apogee rosetta
