Custom Ethernet Cable for Artist Control and Mix?

So instead of buying a router I was thinking of getting a custom Ethernet cable made for both these units. I'm thinking of buying these but the though of to many cables laying on my desk makes it look sloppy. Had anyone tried this? One cable for a few units?? Let me know.
