Default Echofire vs VirtualVTR

Greetings all!

Haven't seen another post like this recently, so I thought I'd bring it up again.

I use a PT mix system, 5.2 on OS 9.2 and ecohfire works great, simple and easy to use. The only hitch is that there is some latency, and that causes problems with ADR.

Since I have an old beige G3 collecting dust, I thought about using that with VirtualVTR, but I'm wondering if thats more trouble than it's worth.

Any thoughts or suggesions? Thanks!

FWIW, I know 6 has a firewire out function, but I don't need to buy all new plugs for 6, so staying in 5.2 is fine with me
