**pitch shifting** and **beat matching** multiple songs together so theyre synced
............i was wondering how to ****PITCH SHIFT**** and ****BEAT MATCH**** multiple songs together syncing up in pro tools.........
............i am familiar with these processes in ableton live, and have been told that in ableton live these processes are easier, which is why i use ableton live. ..........but i am interested in pro tools beat matching and pitch shifting ***MULTIPLE SONGS*** together so they sync up in pitch and beats,,,,,,, ...............if anybody has a good video on these subjects, can you post it please....... (pitch shifting and beat matching multiple songs, syncing them up together so they sound clean) ........Thank you........ |

Hmmm, you don't drive screws with a hammer and you don't pound nails with a screwdriver. Ableton is the correct tool for that job You can always make these adjustments in Ableton, then export the files to bring into a Pro Tools session for other types of edits. Time stretching(beat matching) in PT often results in artifacts that most of us are not willing to accept(unless we can afford Serato Pitch 'n Time Pro). Pitch shifting in PT can work if the shift is not too far(like 1 or 2 semitones). Just an opinion

Yes, I have used Ableton Live since 2005 and Pro Tools since 2009.
Not only different tools. They are like different workshops running quite different methods and techniques. While, for example, "Pro Tools Sketch" is a totally brand new clip based music arrangement tool, you may know that this is how Ableton Live has always been! I simply, by habit, lean on the application where it is best used, and on the other where it works best. I agree with albee1952
