Well, I wear a few different hats. My full time gig is Media Production Specialist with the Phoenix Fire Department. It's basically an audio/video production gig, that borders on photojournalism. Very cool job. In my spare time I do a lot of voice work - character voices, and industrial reads. And I create music for jingles, web pages, and video segments. I almost sound like a "somebody" huh?

unfortunatly nothing to do with media world, I work in laws and music is a hobby, to which I got back to a few years ago by playing my guitar again.

This "process" is accelerating though, as I bought an Mbox and a new set of guitar last september.

I have recorded 5 songs, for personnal use so far, but with great joy about the souding result thanks to multiple tracks, plug ins, virtual instruments. I wouldn't have thought of getting such good "demo" ever !

I plan to make an independent release within a year... all that is taken on my spare time which is not much.

Happy new year !

Im a sales engineer (electrical, unrelated) during the day and dj/dance music (house) producer part-time. Just had my first single and a remix put out on Twisted records if anyone here knows of that label.

I'm really interested in getting into being a professional audio engineer in pop/rock/hip-hop and/or possibly movie scoring and soundtrack stuff. Anyone have any ideas on how to go in that direction? Do you need a formal audio engineering degree to go there or how tough is it to get into the market?

Hey Styles, Your're a Phoenician, I never knew. Of course, none of us go around screaming at the top of our lungs that we hail from a town that has given rise to intellectual giants with names such as Bidwell, Arpaio, and Hull...
Anyway, give me a holla, ,um , email...

Oh yeah, the job. Musician. And broke. Today will be a typical day: Recording tracks til 2:30, Teach guitar from 3:00 til 7:00 (Boogie music, Phoenix AZ..plug..) Rehearse from 8:00 til ??:??

Sound Design for theater mostly, (music/effects) I'm working at the Piven theater in Evanston right now. The theater home of John Cusack, Jeremy Piven, Lili Taylor, and a few others. entrapanure (spelling may be wrong) is just someone in bussiness for themselves. So anybody who starts their own bussiness, and is their own boss is an entrapanure. Hope that helps
