Interesting.... Tho they actually didnt use Ilok. There were using the other one... Sycnrosoft... which had significantly more problems than Ilok. From what I understand syncrosoft was recently sold and renamed "eiicenser" and apparently has been nothing but a nightmare for developers. This probably explains why they jumped ship.

Yes very odd move... i dont have the dongle, so cant comment on its bugginess, My Korg Legacy is pre dongle.. I was determined to just stick with the ilok... 1 dongle key is enough already.

Dear KORG Legacy Collection user,

We hope you are enjoying your KORG Legacy Collection software suite.

Upgrade for KORG Legacy Collection series user
************************************************** ****************

Korg announces a change to the copy protection method for the KORG Legacy Collection series. Korg is switching from the USB Key Copy Protection to Challenge/Response License Authorization, where a unique license code is issued to your computer.

This change means you do not need to buy a USB key separately and can upgrade to the latest version with greater ease. You can purchase the upgrade at the online shop "KORG USER NET SHOP" via download.

I think i could have gone RTAS anytime without the dongle but
i already had the F-Xpansion wrapper for vst, so didnt feel the need.
I may do the RTAS proper now... or go for the Analogue upgrade. Speaking of which, it would only be for the extra Mono/Poly... is the upgrade worth it? for the Mono/Poly alone..

Hi,

I don't have the mono-poly it was extra! i just had to get the RTAS version as the vst wasn't wrapping very well in PT8 on intel, if at all. all is working fine now as RTAS.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the feedback.. Aha! wrapper dodgy on PT8 eh.. good to know (7.4 here).
Looks like i will jump on the Mono/poly at a later date.. lots of time limited good deals around at the moment to consider first... the RTAS update will do nicely
Considering a new 27' imac so
for once it feels good to be behind the curve

Hi,

Got the original analogue KLC-1 version 1.2.3 (well till today 1.2.2) and its been fine, i haven't had any issues for quite a while now. can't say i use them everyday! only on some sessions, but they have been stable.

Chris
