Invalid Authorization Code

Hello, I've successfully installed Pro Tools LE version 6.7 on my computer, however I believe I have an authorization code for version 6.1 as this is what it says on the cover of the guide book. My product has yet to be registered, though the registration is in the mail. How can I get a new Code so that I may use this as soon as possible? I would also like to note that I have entered the code with the appropriate spaces and characters numurous times.

Where did you get 6.7?

6.7 is a paid upgrade from 6.1 and a new code is provided when you purchase it. If you purchased used, and a 6.7 disk came with the unit, the proper code is on the inside cover of the "Upgrading to 6.7 Guide".

The only guide I recieved was, "Getting Started with Digi 002 Rack Version 6.1 for LE Systems on Windows or Mac. The 6.7 disk was the only disk included with the my package. I bought it from Bob's Guitars, new, in Cedar Falls Iowa.

Then you need to go back to Bob's guitars and get the proper codes; you got ripped off.



In all seriousness, brand new units come with 7.0 at this point. Some old stock units might come with 6.9 and when you register, a link to download 7.0 and the authorization codes will be emailed to you. A brand new unit marked with 6.1 but including a 6.7 disk sounds like maybe "really old stock" and questionable to me.

If you go ahead and register the unit, and can provide proof that you bought it new (store receipt), Digidesign might be able to send you the download link and code for 7.0.
