Default The Current Playback Engine Does Not Support a Sample Rate of 48Khz

"The Current Playback Engine Does Not Support a Sample Rate of 48Khz"... Ever since I installed Pro Tools 9 all I can play is Sessions Recorded in 44.1Khz/ 24bit.. None of my Sessions Recorded in any other sample rate will play and I get the above Message. I remember this happened when I first got Pro Tools 8 M-Powered and I know the Fix was real easy but I dont remember how to fix this issue, could somene please help me remember, Thank you

I always got this message (well, not always, but often) with both a Profire Lightbridge and a M-Audio 2626 with all versions of Pro Tools. Now that I installed nine, I ditched the Lightbridge and went with a Lynx AES16e and have been so psyched to freely flow in between sessions of different sample rates.

I would take the opportunity to ditch the m-audio drivers - perhaps there is a work around but so many of my complaints (also used to frequently get the "sample rate changed by another device - must restart" and the "for really no reason at all I must restart and then after restarting I'll probably just restart again" message) have disappeared and can actually get to work within a few minutes of sitting down at my computer.

OK, I have been trying to Fix this issue for like 8 hours? Still cant figure it out, plus even when I do load a session that is 44.1Khz/24bit I can not change the Sample Buffer from 256 buffer Rate, I deinstalled the ProFire 610 Drive and reinstalled and reset the Audio Sound on my computer about 100 times? I know this is an easy Fix anybody out there have any suggestions on how to Fix this?

Could someone please tell me what Driver they are using for M-Audio ProFire 610 for Windows 7 - Pro Tools 9 Set up? IM thinking since I cant see anything but 44.11 in the Driver engine this could be the problem, One my PT8MP I can see all the way up to 96Khz in the Engine and I have that setting but that setting isnt there on my W7 PT9 set up? Thank you

Default Re: The Current Playback Engine Does Not Support a Sample Rate of 48Khz

For Some Reason I still can not get my M-Audio ProFire 610 to have any sample rate but 44.1? At this point I have been trying to Fix this for 3 straight day? When I go into my Sound Options it only Reads 44.1/16bit or 44.1/24bit. When I Load PT9 I cant change the sample rate from 256 Samples so I really cant even use my PT9. So three days into owning PT9 I have done nothing but sit here trying to figure out how to change the sampling rate and use PT9 at 48Khz/24bit? I cant be the only person on the Planet that has had this Problem? AVID? Well if I dont get it fixed Today IM just going to have to Call AVID Support tomorrow and Pay the $35.00 to get this Fixed. I really would Love to use my PT9.

You might need to purchase an Apple and try to duplicate the problem. This forumn is zero help for Windows based users. $35 for tech support from Avid for a product you just purchased? Wow, I'm super glad I did not jump on the "gotta have it now" bandwagon when this hit the AES. It's obvious they released this junk for the show, not for the consumer. Fix your [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep] Avid.

WTF is [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep] ? Now that is super GHEY!!!

I have this problem when I have something else open that's using my profire 2626. Like youtube or itunes etc. If I open PT (any version) and I have something else running, then PT won't let me change the sample rate until I close whatever it was and restart PT. Just a thought. Also, have you tried updateing the driver, or completely removing it and reinstalling it. I know I've seen this issue on here but I can't remember what the resolve was.

are you clocking via adat (setup/hardware menu)? if the interface you're clocking off of is set to 44.1 khz protools can't change it and gets unhappy.
