Wait For Note, working in PT 11? (With Video).

I have a new (last of the old type) Mac Pro running OS 10.8.5. HDX|1, PT 11.0.3. Simple Roland Stage Piano as a controller, a MidiSport 4x4 interface.

For YEARS, I have successfully used "Wait For Note". Now, in PT 11 it seems to be broken, or, anticipating that I am wanting to do a pickup to the bar. Count Off is OFF. Pre-roll is OFF. Not generating LTC or MTC. I scoured the preferences, can't find a "pickup" selection for MIDI Recording. I looked in the Manual for PT 11. "Wait For Note" is a very scant section and tells me nothing new that wasn't present in previous version of Pro Tools.

I can record fine with countoff, or no countoff.

What am I missing?

I haven't tried WFN in any of the HD11.0.x releases, but it works as it should in HD11.1. Not very helpful, just throwing that out there.

Ah! 11.1 Didn't know that was out. The "check for updates" feature is apparently broken..... Will give 11.1 a go.

Still not working for me in 11.1.... May be a VI, though these are all the mostest currentest. May be it's this session.

Oh well. It is just easier when there is a tempo change and I am working by myself. I'll just use countoff.

Ok, I think I discovered something. I score to picture almost always (which is why Wait For Note is occasionally handy). So I created a new blank session with just one Instrument. Wait For Note works as it should. Huzzah!

But the bug comes in when you import a Quicktime. As soon as I did, then I have the same problem as before. Remove the Quicktime, no problem. Put the QT back in, and Wait For Note is broken.

Avid, can you take look at this?
