Default Re: PT HD 9.05 on lion annoying crash.

Ok now I'm at the end of reinstall process from scratch (1 1/2 day lost) and checking all the plug each one, they have to pay me to make a beta-tester BTW..
at the end 9.05 is a crappy version on lion, totally unstable!
  • not compatible with Sountoys 4.1.2 (they have to be compatible, but..) it start to crash again and again on startup.
  • not stable with princeton/eventide of original massive pack plugs, but you can't use recent version 'cause not handling old auth keys on ilok.
  • not see authorize of harmony 4 comes with bundle massive pack, neither the specified massive pack installer on TC site, no answer from them.
  • Totally ignored source connect 3.5.1, seems installed but not exist in plugin folder!!
  • totally incompatible RND last version, i know they are out of business, but was working since now

and now?? trash away and reinstall again PT 9.05? tomorrow we'll see..

You have more patience than me, I'd have gone back to Snow Leopard by now.

Hi TamTamStudio,

You're not alone with the same "behavior/bug"

The problem is not the plugins, is something with PT HD 9.0.5 and OS X Lion.

Sometimes I get the error when loading Uniquilizer, I remove uniquilizer and then is another plugin, i remove that plugin, and another, and another....

For what I've understand, try not to open to much applications before open Pro Tools HD 9.0.5 (if possible PT should be the first), if the problem appears just do a restart and try again. Try not to have dropbox, gobbler or any programs login items / accounts.

A restart should be fine, there's no need to reinstall everything every time.

Just my 2 cents.

The problem with Lion 7.2 does not appears as usual as in 7.1, but is still there.

Regards,

I also have this problem on my LE system (mbox2 into mid-2009 MBP). I would guess that it has something to do with programs that use the core audio drivers specifically opening up before pro tools. I think i remember this being an issue on a few installs where PT had to be opened before any other audio application. Other than that things with 9 seem pretty stable, it is a pesky bug though, hope we'll see an update soon.

just fyi in reference to a previous post, Source Connect 3.5.1 is not a plug-in it is an application on to it self. Source-Connect 3.6 has the Source-Connect Link RTAS plug-in and Source-Connect 3.2 is also an RTAS plug-in.
