i have the same issue ..
i have a pro tools 12.6 license and purchased an upgrade since i bought a macbook m1 and i got the confirmation email from avid, but when i try to surrender the old license in ilok i just get the same error .. need help asap .. |

same problem - i had pro tools 12.6 and purchased an upgrade from the avid site online, but when i am opening pro tools it says i have one or more licenses to surrender so i go to ilok license manager and click on the license with a blue flag, but when i click on 'complete' the following error pops up: 'one or more licenses to surrender cannot be found'
I NEED HELP ASAP!! |

Lots of good stuff here with you getting help, and hopefully Avid support has this sorted out with you. But the pachyderm in the room/first thing to check is are you upgrading something that is expected to work. And you don't give details. So maybe for anybody else in future...
What license have you purchasing? Artist? Studio? Ultimate? Are you trying to surrender Pro Tools 12.6 LE or 12.6 HD? You can surrender Pro Tools LE 12.6 to go to Pro Tools Studio (and maybe Artist, I am not sure). You can't go from Pro Tools LE to Pro Tools Ultimate. You can surrender Pro Tools HD 12.6 to go to Pro Tools Ultimate. You can't go from Pro Tools HD to Pro Tools Studio. If in doubt these things are good to ask a sales rep at a reseller about. The other cause or problems here is folks having more than one iLok account, potentially unintended, and that confusing things. Always be super careful entering the iLok account name and avoid creating more than one unless it's really needed. Now of course no reason to know if any of the above is an issue here, but hopefully help for others. |

Hello guys,
Avid has responded to me via email and solved the problem for me. Ijust found out about this forum and how creating a case works so if i did something wrong i apoligise , also i am from germany and my english is not very good sry. But i guess they reset everything and put new license on ilok manager so everything is working now. Thank all of you! |
