Default PCI Bus too busy says DAE!!!

Im running a bit-3 7slot with protools24 and 4 dsp cards with a 7300powermac im getting a message that my pci bus is to busy to reliably play tracks to the audio interface.I also just connected a adaptec card with two digidrives and I put 16 tracks on each drives and I get this message. Is the PCI bus speed of a powermac7300 that different then a 9600!!!

The 7300 is not approved by Digidesign beacuse of the PCI bus structure. The 9600 has two separate PCI busses (7300 has only one) and therefore you have to place SCSI accelerators (busmaster cards) in one of the busses and D24 / MixCore in the other bus. For G3/G4´s the situation is a little different - every PCI slot is a separate bus on these machines.

My suggestion to you is to get a cheap secondhand beige G3 if you can do with only 3 PCI slots or get the new G4/466
