Default Cubase SX and the Digi 001

I have a quesion for you all: Will Cubase SX work with the Digi 001?

I have an Apogee Trak 2 and I could get into the Digi 001 via SPIDIF. It would save me some cash while I look around at my options.

Let me know what you think.

Jotown:)

No, until digi release ASIO drivers for PC (Which i have been told they are working on) Cubase SX will not work with any digi hardware.

It would be very cool when it does. My dream setup is the 002 running SX and a Powercore!

But unfortunatly, we have to wait.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">It will work with Sonar, but only two channels. I was hoping SX would do 2 channels also.

A Powercore, or a UAD 1 would be awesome. I guess we will have to wait for that VST wrapper.

We will see.

Ive been using Nuendo (almost same prog) with my digi 001, with mixed results. Somedays it works fine in Mulimedia ASIO mode, and some days it keep saying "sorry, nuendo lost contact with audio card" so give it a shot, but it won't work very well until ASIO comes out. The latency is too bad to run VSTI insruments and I think track is nearly impossible...but for mixing...I love the way it sounds, don't like the GUI of the mixer though. And routing is kinda tricky..but I was mixing over 120 tracks earlier tonight!!!! with eq and plenty of plugs...the plugs take way more cpu then the tracks. I'm gonna keep it around till ASIO comes out, then my world will be a happy place.
