Use PT First as backup incase I forget ilok

A few times I didnt have the ilok, and had to track a vocal .. or quick thing and had to do with ableton.. as I bounce around with the MBP...

would PT1st give me a computer auth just so I can track in case I dont have ilok?

Yep you don't need an ilok to run PT|First.

It authorize via the computer and I would love to have regular PT12HD to be able to authorize via computer and ilok so we can choose which type we want to use. Would certainly eleaviate a lot of nervous feelings lugging around an ilok which honestly looks very very fragile and poor

But sorry for the off topic - You can do what you are asking with First but you still need the ILM on your computer to authorize your PT|First license.

We tried this and it was a helluva pain to be honest. It ended up scrapped after all of us here got involved and after 9 highly technical producers wasted hours on it we gave up and got back to work.

Also it wont work on places with no internet connection or bad connection and also I cant understand if this is safe if we are on a hotel connected internet with questionable security wifi etc.

Anyway It might be awesome for someone who knows the ins and outs but we are obviously to stupid to appreciate this option.
