My thoughts? That they would sell a ton of native RTAS plugs were they to offer them.

Re: Uad 2
Mine are tangentially similar to yours .... Anything that does what a CU is supposed to do is considered a "tow-rope" .... we dont need tow-ropes in the audio world. so, by extension, if the UAD plugs were RTAS I might audition them.

Re: Uad 2
Doesn't seem to run well on PT (PT LE) yet, at least not unless you only work in maximum buffer mode, and, use your high-spec'ed Quad as a workhorse for the UAD2 card itself:

Re: Uad 2
Running a UDA-1 card, installation was a breeze and it works. Good plugins (they show up under "wrapped pluginjs" since they go thru the Fx-pansion adapter, which I was already using anyway. ) The ONLY thing that's kind of a pain to deal with is the latency involved since it's an outboard DSP card, but I use the Mellowmuse ATA to take care of that. There were a couple bugs involved with the UAD-2 cards, but I'm pretty sure they worked them out with software updates. A nice way to free up some of your CPU.

Re: Uad 2
Hi,
yes running the UAD-1 seems better for most, even non PT LE users. I guess UAD will sort this out at some point (not at v5.2.0 still), I really like some of their plugs, and UAD-2 seems like a nice complement for just those plugs. Cheers, - J

Re: UAD-2 with HD2
Has anyone replaced one Accel card in their HD3 with a UAD-2? If so, what are the results?
