Pro Tools 9 and Behringer Mixer

Currently, the home studio setup we use is an old Behringer Eurorack (UB1222FX-PRO) mixer directly into the PC's soundcard. We use Adobe Audition right now but want to upgrade to Pro Tools 9.

Is this mixer compatible with PT9? Also, if you have any suggestions for improvement on our setup I would appreciate that. Keep in mind though that this is barely more than a hobby project we're developing at the moment. We want to keep it relatively inexpensive.

Does the mixer have ASIO or Core Audio drivers? If so it should work. Check the AIR User Blog where they are compiling a hardware list for the latest information.

I believe it does have ASIO drivers because I was checking out Behringer's site for info. Here's a link to the page for my mixer. Near the bottom it has ASIO drivers (32-bit, Win 7 would be mine). That's what I'd need?

The AIR User Blog didn't have any Behringers as far as I know, that's why I posted. If it does work, I'll be sure to add to the list.

Isn't this just a fully analog mixer? How can it possibly have ASIO drivers...

It's got some DSP implementation on it for the built-in FX, but I don't see any USB/Firewire/AES-EBU or S/PDIF connections on it anywhere. If it has ASIO drivers for it, the only thing left would be Bluetooth or WIFI...

That means new mixer. Whee. Any suggestions for less than $100? Preferably enough inputs for a simple hip-hop vocal tracking session but also enough for a rock group including drums.

All analog gear works with Pro Tools. The thing is, you need a computer audio interface.

It sounds like you have been sending a stereo (2 channel) signal to your computer. You could likely continue to do so without purchasing additional gear.

Less than $100? There's not much available in that price range.

If you have used your Computer soundcard as Audio Interface before, you can most likely continue to do so with PT9.
You need an ASIO driver for the sound card, but there's a freeware called ASIO4ALL which normally should work.

If I get an audio interface, what are some of the options, keeping in mind that I need to track drums with at least 4 or 5 mics at a time. Just throwing an audio interface in between the mixer and PC (probably firewire) will work?

Or as AndyJCP posted, if I understood it correctly, I don't need any new hardware. I already use ASIO4ALL for the soundcard.
