Default DAE error -9060 (how do I make that disappear?)

I've just started getting this message and now I can't do anything with my music. I did nothing different from the time it did work except record some audio tracks. I have a Mac G4 700mhz, the digi 001, and two firewire drives. I looked up any hard drive speed tools extensions... there are none on my system to my knowledge. There is no HDST file. What can I do to make everything normal again? The only thing I did was defrag a partition.. but the other partitions aren't working either...someone please HELPPPP!!!!!!!!

Thanks,
Dave

Hello,

Make sure you have no third party firewire extensions installed on the system. Your drives most likley came with some type of utility to initialize them with. Most function ok if you disable the third party extensions. Some will not work no matter what you do and you will need to reinitalize the drive with Apples built in Erase disk function.

1-Backup all important data that is on your FireWire drive
2-Highlight the FireWire drive on the Desktop and choose Special>Erase Disk. Choose Mac OS Extended formatting and click OK.
3-Once the drive is formatted, disable/remove all third party FireWire extensions and restart the computer.

-For the latest FireWire information, please visit the following link:

regards,
mike

I found a description of the error in the user guide
