Locate Waves 9.6 folder
Every time I try to use the Studio rack plugin with protools I get the message "locate waves 9.6 folder". I've click on the v9 folder only to be prompted to locate the folder again!! This is very frustrating, I called waves and they told me good luck with fixing the problem on my own. Has anyone else experience this frustrating problem??

Re: Locate Waves 9.6 folder
Welcome to the community.
Why did Waves respond like that? Do you have active WUP and have you double-checked their documentation to make sure you are using supported operating system?

Re: Locate Waves 9.6 folder
Never seen Waves respond like that so something was missunderstood or missheard. What Janne asked? Current WUP? Current updates?
Thanks

Call back, give them your serial number, and ask for a different support technician.

Re: Locate Waves 9.6 folder
Try a re-install with the very latest Waves Central.
I updated my Mercury bundle yesterday to add the new plugin & forgot about checking for a new Central. I had all sorts of issues, no Mercury plugins, only half of my SSL bundle was showing up and Pro Tools wouldn't find the Waveshell 9.6 which was sitting where it always had been. There's obviously a lot of stuff Central is tied into besides the licenses so download the latest Central & reinstall all your Waves stuff to see if that helps. As has been said, I'm very surprised at Waves attitude - even with an expired WUP before they've always tried to help when I've had an issue.

Re: Locate Waves 9.6 folder
I never heard Waves tech support did anything like that. Seems to be some misunderstanding.
And it looks like latest Waves Central is required. |
