what is this •l l• and how can I make it disappear?
I wonder if you can help me solve a little puzzle. I somehow told PT to activate little markers in my timeline that look like this: •l l• . I can't seem to make them go away, and now they're driving me nuts...Suddenly, I can't nudge through video, and I can't bounce down tracks by just highlighting the portions I want (PT insists on trying to bounce down the entire length of video instead).
What the heck are those markers, and how can I make them disappear? grumble grumble, |

Re: what is this •l l• and how can I make it disappear?
There's a toolbar along the top of the edit window that has "a...z" about 1/10th of the way from the left. Just to the right of the "a...z" is are two arrows and the .||. symbol (under the magnifying glass). Click on the arrows and .||. so they're highlighted, and audio selection will function normally.

Those are 'Edit Markers' and in order to link them with the 'Timeline Selection Markers' you need to enable 'Link Timeline and Edit Selection' (Shift+Forward Slash).
