Default Question about the least expensive fader option

Hi all,

I'm going to be mixing through an analog desk, but at the same time, I would like to have at least one assignable stereo fader to do some of my rides in ProTools. What would be the least expensive option with which to do this?

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

I haven't used it myself, but a lot of folks here use this one:

Having lived in analog on an API desk with moving faders for 25 years, Faderport has been life saving for me! PT 11 supports it.

Has anybody here any experience with both the FaderPort AND the Alpha Track? (http://www.frontierdesign.com/products/alphatrack) I'm curious about how they compare. Or, if anyone just has some experience with the Alpha Track, still interested to hear what you might have to say.

FWIW...I believe the Alpha Track has been discontinued, despite its still being listed on the Frontier Design website.

Sweetwater/Musician's Friend/Guitar Center all show it as unavailable...
