multitrack layout ?
This is probably a dumb question but.....
aside from manually moving each tracks position on the timeline, is it possible to have the tracks start at the bottom of the screen and ascend upwards as the track number increases? I got to wondering this because of how i use my ProControl - I'm sat to the right of the unit, and when i'm recording foleys etc we tend to work mainly on track 1 which defaults to the far left hand side of the PC - fine for the fader, but i don't use that whilst recording. Record arm, though is certainly used and thats just about the furthest button away from me. If the tracks could cascade right to left instead of the default left to right, then i'd have a much more ergonomic system to work at!

Re: multitrack layout ?
I know what you mean, I have the same problem, especially for VO sessions where I've only got a couple of tracks. I have more than one fader section, so sometimes I just change the ethernet peripheral assignments. I either change the order, or only use the main unit that I've positioned directly center. That way I've only got to reach across 8 faders. Obviously this does not work very well for Control24 users.
