Default OK I'll Bite (New 11R from AVID)

So this guy gets on the Gear Page and says he just talked to Avid and there's a new 11R coming out with a firmware up date that will work on the old models. What's the word????????????????????????????????????????

Nothing has transpired but then again, who knows. Would need lots more info on who, where how when.

That contradicts everything we've heard from the NAMM show. There were 2 guys who basically fronted up to the Avid booth saying what gives. One guy reported back from a secret source, saying that Avid haven't even worked on the 11R code since the last update - which sort of makes since seeing as there some bugs in the 11R coding, the other guy managed to run into one of the guys higher up in the Avid Schutzstaffel chain, and was more of the same old, same old.

So I would say the likelihood of anything new from Avid would be: -273.15 C, otherwise known as absolute zero.

Of course, they probably have to do something with AAX, so the Eleven Rack runs with the mythical ProTools 11, which is probably what they are referring to.
