Default Secrets to good mastering?

Ive been recording for a few months now with my Digi001. Im getting a great sound for the equipment that I have. Its perfect for demos. But I know it can be MUCH better with Mastering. I bought T-Racks a few days ago and I'm already noticing Big changes for the better. What are your tricks with T-Racks?

Also... I started playing around with Mastering in Nuendo. Have any of you done this? I find some of the VST Plugins are very good. Once again, any tricks? I used to use Nuendo a lnog time ago and just now dugup the install disk. Any feedback would be greaty appreciated.

are you on a mac, or are you using something other than pro tools?

I have the stand alown version of T-Racks. Im on PC.

its T-Racks 24 to be exact. Its not really FOR pro tools. Its a completley seperate program where you bounce the song to a wav from PT, then you open T-Racks and you open the song in T-Racks... then you go from there. I can get you a screen shot if you dont understand what im saying.

I wouldn't really call Bob and Glenn 'opinionated' I would use the term 'informed' more

Those guys are true professionals and you mightn't like what they have to say but they know a helluva lot more about mastering than those dudes who think mastering is simply running mixes through a chain of wave 'mastering' presets.

Listen and learn kids
