I spent this morning making sure all plugins were up to date. There were a few that had recent Big Sur updates...didn't change anything with 2021.6, still sluggish as can be. Even dragging in samples from the workspace is slow and often results in the beach ball.

I was on 11.3.1 when I first installed 2021.6, decided to update to 11.4 to see if that would help, but both were really sluggish. I haven't had any crash's, so it's stable in that regard, just annoyingly sluggish like others are reporting. It all seems graphic related. I'm seeing the random black box's appear in the timeline. Also, plugins are responding slow when adjusting parameters.

Yeah same here with the random black boxes. Also getting beach balls every couple minutes, which don't seem to affect the audio. On an M1 macbook air with Bug Sir 11.4

Have any other users checked the output of the macOS system logs during these UI stalls? (System log is viewable in the macOS Console utility.) Below I've pasted some common errors shown in the log when this behaviour rears it head. Do any of you with the same issues notice any similarities to your own log output?
