Default Extra MIDI data

G'day all,

Recorded a choir in late Dec 08 and am just starting to mix now. Recorded a MIDI piano which was a good take, but never checked the midi data at the time.

The problem is this. During playback one particular phrase contains extra data; none of which was ever recorded. Not just a note here and there but a whole swag of them. Not sure how it happened and don't want it to happen again; especially given the amount of time that it's going to take to straighten it out.

If anyone has experienced this before and can help me out I would be very grateful.

Default Re: Extra MIDI data

Do you have duplicate notes or off beat notes? try
'Remove Duplicate Notes'

Too much controller/automation data being Tx, (AT,Mw,PB,CC#?)
try 'Data Thin'

Have you examined your tracks Midi Viewer?
try "Alt =" or "Alt +" or apple equivalent

Hard Time Differentiating between Notes?
try 'seperate note/chord' to new midi track(s)

Is Tempo/beat off on your part?
Isolate and separate region of that part, select part, grab whole in NOTES edit and drag first note to appropriate beat, other notes will follow while preserving human input (not quantized).

Do you have a repetition of not following initial notes?
Try Note Grab special copy paste to event and proceed with remove duplicate note, this will remove all midi 'note delays'

Extra data you dont need?
Go to event Viewer and FILTER data type, show only DATA TYPE and select and hit DELETE
