Digi 003 keep losing connection..

Hi,

Since I got my Digi 003 Rack I have only problems and it is almost impossible for me to use pro Tools on my Mac Pro Quad.

I get the dreaded "connection lost" every 10 minutes - if not CPU warnings or messages about increasing buffer...

I have tried everything including: changing all ram, reinstalling OS on different HD, changing graphic card, installing pci-x card with firewire.. well you name it.

Nothing keeps this error away. I use latest 7.4.2 update.

I also get random issues in ex. Peak pro where Digi 003 will not respond and I have to reboot mac.

Is this another issue of Power harness? Seems that 003 is infected too - what can i do?

I just had it for 2 weeks.

Have you tried both the front and back firewire ports on the Mac? What about a shorter cable (some Macs don't seem to play well with the longer cable that comes with the 003..)?

Hmm. Problem is that I have Mac outside studio. My hammerfall never had problem with long firewire cable - but I'll igve it a try.

I haven't tried fron Firewire but 2 different brands of PCI-express cards with firewire - didn't help.
