finally found a graphix card that seems to work-->

tried a jeronimo 2000 but didn't seem to work properly, but finally found a card that seems to work fine.
the price is only 230$
the card is called
proformance 3 from www.formac.com

i'm running it with digi001 and pro tools le 5.0.1 on macos 9.1 on a dual 500 g4, 500 mb ram and everything works fine..
it is a pci card..
like i said , for the moment everything seems to workout fine. nice graphics and no problems at all!

nothing with the ATI rage card, but when i tried installing an apian jeronimo 2000...the apian didnt work... and i saw that more people were having trouble with that card...i'm refering to the owners of a dual 500 G4...that's all -)

and this card is the solution to their problems...it's cheap 230$, and it works very stable.
you loose 1 pci slot since it is a pci card and no AGP card.
just wanted to let people know about this card as an option-)

yes i am on a digi001 system though...i can't speak for the TDM system.

dual 500 G4's work with those card...loosing one PCI slot.-)

sad news...the proformance card doesn't seem to work after all...
it worked fine for a whole day of recording but it gave me an 6042 error the next day..-(

but i was told from a guy that does tech support for digi over here that the promax card works fine in dual 500 G4's gygabit ethernet.

he was told yesterday at a digidesign show off in the netherlands...they were running the card there..and they approved it.
