Default Opening 8.4cs2 sessions with plug-ins "Inacitve"

By using the term "inactive" does that mean with NO plug-ins period or plug-ins in the session but set to bypass. I have always used the term "Un-instanshiated, (sp?) meaning no plug-ins on the inserts, and inactive to mean plugs bypassed. The "What's new in PT8" specifies that when opening sessions with plug-ins Deactivated you will not be able to revert to saved or open most recent session to Reactivate the plug-ins. It goes to state a remedy for this. Can someone provide an answer to this question or at least clarify it for me?

Hi,

Inactive means the plugins is still instantiated in the slot but made to be "inactive" umm what other words can i use ahh put to sleep to be woken at a later time!!

right click on a plugin and you get the option to make inactive.

Opening a session whilst holding the shift key will open the session with all plugins inactive!! good way to open sessions that are having problems etc.
