Default Question about moving from G5 to Intel

Hi all,

I'm about to help my buddy move from a G5 to an Intel Mac (it's either a Harpertown or Nehalam).

I've already made the switch myself, but I forgot the answer to this question...will I be able to pop hard drives from the G5 into the Intel or does the Intel take different types of drives?

I do know that I'll need to re-format the System drive to work with Intel (or at least install a new System on that drive), but the other drives that simply hold files...will I be able to just move them to the Intel with no re-formatting or anything?

Thanks in advance for any info you have...
